Motivational Monday

There are many people in our lives, who still view the old us. They may view the past mistakes we’ve made, or our past personalities. Sometimes I feel that not everyone understands personal growth. They have put us in a certain box and refuse to take us out of it. But truth be told, every single one of us has changed over the years.

It is human nature to grow as an individual. Some ways in which we grow are:

  • Spiritually
  • Physically
  • Mentally
  • Emotionally
  • Professionally
  • Academically

It’s rewarding to see how differently we have become over the years. So this quote is great, because it is true.

Over the years I have overcome a lot of my anxieties and I have come to terms with my past. Every day I learn to be stronger. I’m learning to be at peace with who I am. I am learning that I am loved and cared for, even if I do not see or speak to everyone I love and miss. I am learning that I have a lot to offer in this world. I still have my days of insecurities and feeling like no one understands me or likes me or cares, but I’ve learned that is all in my head. Anxiety has a way of focusing on our worst fears, so it is our job to push through that and call our anxiety a LIAR! We are loved. We are cared for. We are strong and we are becoming better versions of ourselves on a daily basis.

So please remember that if someone looks at you oddly or makes a comment about “I know how you are” or “this isn’t you “, thats ok. They may not know the new you. They may not know the you that has been put back together with different pieces. These pieces are who you are and what you have gone through. Just because you’ve been put back a little differently, doesn’t mean you have changed for the worse or that you are no longer yourself. You’re just a new and improved version of yourself.

Never stop growing or changing. All of the pieces that make up who you are are truly amazing and admirable.

With love and peace of mind,

Jen xo
