Natural Remedies for Anxiety & Stress

When I’m feeling stressed, I like to drink a cup of chamomile tea, with some honey. The smell and taste is very soothing.

I’ve never really liked the smell of lavender, so that’s not a stress reliever for me. I’ll have to give the others a try though!

Which natural remedy works best for you guys?

  1. Hi Jen, I like using the amino acid Gaba. The one I use is called gaba calm. It is peppermint flavored and can be found at any health food store. After a few minutes under my tongue, it really relaxes me. Also, I like to support my adrenal glands with vitamins A, C, E, B5 and Zinc. I have found the vitamins to provide much greater relief than the herbals, which don’t work quite as quickly for me. Thanks for your blog : )

    1. Wow that’s great! I’ll have to look into the Gaba. Peppermint tea is relaxing as well so I wouldn’t mind trying this. Any benefits from drinking those vitamins separate like you do? I drink a multivitamin, so just wondering :).

  2. Don’t know if this is considered a natural remedy, but stretching and exercising is a good one. Also, I like the scent of Vanilla so I find that kind of helpful. I personally think it depends on what scent the individual likes. Stress balls are good stress relievers too.

    1. It does help. I love yoga because the breathing really helps me to relax. I also enjoy weight lifting because it makes my adrenaline go and puts me in a good mood ☺️. I prefer the scent of coconut. So relaxing.
